“Waiting”
Photo manipulation.
I am not a religious man, however, I would like to think I have a spiritual side. After watching an awe inspiring documentary titled “Afterlife”, I felt compelled to create an image that somewhat captures my belief on “life after death” or better yet, what they beautifully called it in the show: “life after life.” Difficult to do considering the topic. I would like to think more would be waiting for me.

Photography.

Everything I attempted today turned into turd sandwiches. So after mucking about, I finally took a break at my desk and I could feel that glazed look taking control. My focus went to this guy and I couldn’t stop staring. So I snapped his picture.

My big creative contribution today. Wall-E. Hiding. Under envelopes. On my desk. That is all.

“No Humans Allowed”
Illustration/watercolor.
I decided to try something a little more challenging (for me, anyway) than an ACEO size artwork. I took a 9″x12″ sheet of 90lb watercolor paper and cut it into quarters. I took one of my character creations and put him in a shack type/guardhouse setting using ink and watercolors. This was the end result.

“Gas Mask” ACEO (Art Card Editions and Originals)
I am kicking off the month of February with a brand new photo album titled “ACEOs” (art card editions and originals). “Gas Mask” is one of three newly created ACEOs. This item seems to be a recurring subject in a lot of my artwork/photography. I don’t know why.

I began making these cards before the Christmas holidays and had a blast. Since I’m a doodler by nature, this seemed to be a great fit for me. I use a variation of ink, colored pencils, watercolors and/or some acrylic. Some days I have a hard time deciphering between the digital pen and the ink filled ones.
