I have not heard from Pete since his original email to me. From my understanding, it has not been released. If I do hear any news, I will keep this topic updated.

What has drawn me to the iPhone for my photography from day one is not the post production or the 'finished' photograph. This to me is just an afterthought.

The intutive nature of the catpure - the thrill of the image chase - is what gets me out there every day. I love the way that a tilt of the camera and a touch of the screen makes for a dramatic photography experience. That's really what sets the iPhone apart and makes it so amazing.

The heart of iPhoneography is not just the taking of the photograph but how quickly it can be shared. This makes the photographic process a genuinely exciting social experience and sets it apart from the rest of the photographic world. I believe this is a whole new art form: Social iPhotography

To me it's not simply the quality of the photograph but its mobility. I can be waist high in the ocean chasing some pelican and by the time I get out of the water my best shots have gone viral around the globe, seen and appreciated by many hundreds of people. THAT'S iPhoneography.

Sure I could sit there on the sands and mess around with some app or other, or maybe cart the iPhone back home and work on the images in some rinky-dink photo program. But that's all yesterday's papers. Post-show backslapping.

The iPhone gives us the ability to take an image and present it almost in real time. Shoot it, share it. That's the game now.
